Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on September 28 said that his government has attracted Rs 10 lakh crore in investments and created 31 lakh jobs since May 2021.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of Tata Motors Group’s world-class production facility for cars and SUVs in Panapakkam, Ranipet district in Tamil Nadu, Stalin said, “DMK-led government attracted more than Rs 10 lakh crore in investments and generated direct and indirect employment for 31 lakh people. We aim to make Tamil Nadu a trillion-dollar economy by 2030. We want to transform it into the best investment destination not only in India but also in South Asia.

“We have travelled across the globe to secure these investments, and we are committed to fast-tracking their implementation. Today’s event is a testament to that commitment. Tata Motors signed an MoU for this project in March this year, and within just six months, we are here for the foundation stone-laying ceremony. This is proof of our government’s dedication to the development of Tamil Nadu and its youth,” he said.
